The family and I stopped to the Museum on a camping trip to Walker Brook. Seeing pictures of my grandfather (Norman Pelletier) in the military and finding the Pelletier/Thibodeau Family History made for a beautiful visit. I was able to show my daughter, who never met Norman or Juliette, where her roots were and how important it is for families to have places like the Allagash Historical Society. We were able to learn so much. A huge thanks and much appreciation to Faye O'Leary Hafford for the amount of work and dedication she has given us younger generations and the generations after us. Because of her and the Allagash Historical Society, the history of our families will always be there.
Thank you guys so very much.

I have been watching the ice at the Dickey bridge. It was exciting today to see some more breaking up and running, right near where my great grandfather lived at one time long ago. Thanks for this website.

Watching the news, I am reminded of your devastating ice jam of over 20 years ago. You didn't get the same attention, but look how you have bloomed since then. I met you as the State worked to help in whatever way they could. I was so impressed with you as a people then, in your bravery, your indomitable spirit, and your welcoming way to a total stranger with limited assistance available. I will never forget you, and am so glad to still see familiar names and new industries there. You are, indeed, a treasure.

I went there yesterday just to see the place for an hour or so. Loved it. Nice people and good coffee. Should have gone there 30 years ago. I hope that agusta does not forget where it is!

A big thank you to Louie Pelletier III for creating the web site. Allagash is a very unique town nestled along the St.John, Allagash and Little Black rivers. I'm proud to call Allagash my home.
As a former ranger on the Allagash River i ahve visited Allagash Village many times. It is a special place with special people. Anyone who has not made a visit the the town of Allagash has missed a
very nice experience.
